Matthew 7:1-5 by LadyMuffinArt Matthew 7:1-5 by LadyMuffinArt
Finally finished!!! Whoooo! This was a fun one!! :D behold: the remake of my pic "Splinter".
I once drew this as a lesson for myself, as I was angry at someone. It was a great learning phase that God gave me & is summoned in this pic!

"Judge not, that ye be not judged.

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."

Matthew 7:1-5

I just hate that people in this day and age always stop at Matthew 7:1 and never read the rest....

Yes, true! Because we should correct each other still, it's just about not seeing ones own fault....

It's just that some people (christians included) hate being reproved. They become bitter and lash out at the one who is trying to help them out. This is why you always hear the famous "DONT'T JUDGE ME" line.

I agree with you. People do hate being reproved, regardless of religious affiliations. I can't count how many times I've heard people say, "The Bible says not to judge! Don't judge lest you be judged!"

It irritates me so much because anyone can take one sentence from any writing or book and twist it to mean anything they want. That's not the meaning of that line. If they read the next line they would know that it said that we will be judged in the manner in which we judge each other. We are NOT to judge others by our own "opinions" of right and wrong. We ARE to judge based upon God's laws, because EVERYONE will be judged by that same standard.

Also, the concept of "judging" is something everyone does every day. We make judgments about every decision or opinion we form. So if we aren't to judge then it is wrong to say anything is good or bad, even if it's food or a picture, because that is a judgment.

So, to get to my point, I agree with you. LOL I'm just a bit long-winded. :P Maybe that turned into a mini-rant. Oops!
